Naruto filler list

Two stretches, both large. Naruto's filler is more aggressive than One Piece's — one of these blocks alone runs longer than most entire TV shows. If you want the full arc-by-arc path with posters and a live toggle, see the full watch order guide instead. This page is the quick-reference version.

Filler arcs still

A short run of anime-only side stories before the manga catches back up. None of it is required.

Filler saga still
Filler sagaEp 136–22085 episodes · Naruto

The infamous back half of the original series — almost entirely anime-only, made to buy time while the manga built toward the time skip. Skip straight to Shippuden.

That's over 100 episodes you don't need

Between these two stretches, roughly a hundred episodes of the original Naruto series are pure anime padding, made to stall while Masashi Kishimoto finished building the manga toward its time skip. Skip both with zero loss — Naruto Shippuden picks up cleanly from where the canon left off.

Shippuden itself also has a handful of smaller, more scattered filler episodes mixed into otherwise-canon stretches across its 500-episode run — those are harder to pin to exact numbers with full confidence and aren't broken out individually on this page. The two blocks above are the two big, universally-cited ones worth actually planning around.

Why is this a separate page from the main guide?

The full Naruto watch order shows these filler stretches in context, interactive and toggleable alongside the canon arcs. This page exists for the simpler question people actually search for: just the skip list, nothing else.
