ReelPrivacy policy
Short version: this site doesn't have accounts, doesn't sell data, and doesn't run analytics today. Here's the honest, specific version.
What ReelPath collects directly
Nothing that identifies you. There's no account system, no sign-up, no comment section, and no form that asks for your name or email — the only way to contact us is by emailing shahedibilash2@gmail.com directly, which is between you and your own email provider.
ReelPath does not currently run Google Analytics or any other visitor-tracking or usage-analytics tool. If that changes, this page will be updated first, before the tool is added — not after.
Cookies and local storage
ReelPath itself does not set tracking cookies. The site briefly used your browser's local storage (not a cookie) to remember a light/dark theme choice; that feature has since been removed, and the only thing that code path does now is clear out that old saved value if your browser happens to still have it — nothing new gets written.
The Advertising section below covers cookies set by Google, if and when ads are enabled on this site.
Third-party services this site uses
Static pages hosted on a CDN still rely on a few outside services to work and to look right. Here's every one, and what each can see:
- Cloudflare Pages — hosts every page on this site. Like any web host, Cloudflare's infrastructure processes standard connection data (IP address, browser type, request timing) to serve the page at all; ReelPath doesn't get a copy of this beyond Cloudflare's own aggregate analytics.
- The Movie Database (TMDB) — every poster, backdrop, and rating (vote_average) shown on this site is fetched from TMDB at build time, not live from your browser. Loading a poster image does request it from TMDB's own image servers (image.tmdb.org) at the moment you view the page, the same way any embedded image works. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
- OMDb — the secondary IMDb rating badge shown next to some titles is sourced from the OMDb API at build time, not from your browser.
- Google Fonts — page text uses fonts loaded from fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com, which means your browser makes a request to Google's font servers to display them, the same as any site using Google Fonts.
Advertising
ReelPath may show ads served by Google AdSense. If and when that's active, Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick/DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits here and to other sites, and may use non-personalized ad settings where required by your region. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings, and more generally through the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page. This section describes Google's advertising cookies, not any tracking ReelPath itself performs — see the sections above for that.
Affiliate links
Some "where to watch" links on this site are, or will become, affiliate links (including possible Amazon Associates links) — ReelPath may earn a small commission if you use them, at no extra cost to you. Clicking one takes you to the retailer's own site, which has its own separate privacy policy governing what happens there. This never affects which titles get recommended or how they're ranked — see the About page's affiliate disclosure for more.
Children's privacy
ReelPath isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect any information from them — there's nothing here to collect in the first place, per the sections above.
Changes to this policy
If what this site collects or how it's used changes — most likely, when advertising is actually turned on — this page gets updated and the "last updated" date at the top moves. There's no separate notification system to sign up for; check back here if you're curious.
